Knives in the Wihongi Signature series from Browning® have been designed in collaboration with Jared Wihongi, one of the world's foremost law enforcement edged-weapons instructors, based on his Maori heritage. The Maorian people are indigenous to New Zealand, having arrived there over 1000 years ago from their mythical Polynesian homeland. Over several centuries of isolation, the Polynesian people developed a unique culture known as "Maori" which includes it's own mythology and unique performing arts and crafts. Maori symbols are often stylized tattoos and carvings. These decorations are added to their weapons to represent a warrior ancestor whose strength and courage you carry with you into battle. The Maori designs on the Wihongi Signature line of blades are intended to honor the warrior spirit that lives in each of us.
The wharncliffe  blade measures 3-1/4" in length. The steel is 8Cr13MoV stainless with a harndess of 56-58 Rc. Like the other knives in this series, the blade is etched on both sides with traditional designs from the indigenous Maori people of New Zealand.
The handle features black G-10 handles with stainless steel liners. Measures 4-1⁄8" closed and weighs 3.6 oz. Liner style lock. Ships with a single-position, tip down carry pocket clip. Made in China. Suggested retail is $21.99.
